Very important old Ca. early 1900's folk art Canada Goose attributed to the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Wonderful head with long neck connected to a wooden body which has cork added to both sides creating the seam down the middle of the back as shown. Original Paint as well as condition with the possible exception of a very old coat of wash to the white on the breast and tail areas.Small age crack just above the base of the neck as shown with connected bottom board making this old working decoy a flat bottom floater. Just a very old,antique honest working decoy in very good condition!

Early and important working Brant decoy in excellent original condition. Nice form that was rigged for hunting with several original ballast weights still attached. Carved in the alert position, the neck and head are a two piece design with a very short bill. Decoy has a second old coat of paint still partially visable on perhaps 10% of the decoy which is very old and well worn showing a good deal of original protected paint that has mellowed to a rich dark patina.
